LOWER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Our Lower School Program (for ages 9-10) consists of courses in study essentials, history, science and the arts. Lower School, if done in its entirety, should take around two years, assuming a normal school schedule (at least 4 hours per day). If one were to work in sequence, starting a nine or ten year old, one would do the following:
- The parent would read "How To Start Using CONNECT THE THOUGHTS", available on Currclick for free.
- The student would do "How to Do CONNECT THE THOUGHTS Courses Course", a free course available on Currclick.
- The student would do the following study essential courses, designed to truly prepare the student to study with authority and success:
- "Information - Right or Wrong?"
- Lower School "How To Do Research"
- "Computer Literacy Course" (IF needed. Any computer literate person able to create documents, do research, store data, will not need this course.)
- The student would now start:
- Our free "Spelling" program, available on Currclick.
- "Reading Course"
- Lower School "History I - Pre-History"
- Lower School "Science I - SCIENCE BASICS"
- "Creative Writing I - Start Writing"
- Perhaps an art elective, such as "Music Theory I"; "Acting I"; or "Animation I".
- The student, upon completing each course, would start the next course in sequence in that subject. EXAMPLE: Having completed "Science I", the student would start "Science II", and so on.
- The student would move into Upper School Curriculum when they either:
- Complete all Lower School Science and Math.
- Acquire a literacy level allowing them to move into Upper School materials. (We will provide a test on this site which will help you determine if your student's literacy is up to Upper School materials.)
(All of this should be integrated with a good math program
of your choosing. We recommend
Saxon Math
and
AGS Publishing's Consumer Mathematics
